Hallow’s End Is Here!

Adventurers!

Prepare for a frightfully fun event across all Ascension Realms: Hallow’s End is here!

Hallow's End is a spooky celebration of the Forsaken breaking away from the Scourge: a festival celebrated by both the Alliance and Horde with trick-or-treating, apple bobbing and more! During this event, you can trick your friends with spooky transform effects, get seasonal rewards, bonus experience, and more!

Trick or Treating

During Hallow's End, you can trick-or-treat at any Innkeeper every hour. When you do, you have a chance to receive a Treat Bag! Treat Bags can contain different kinds of items such as seasonal candies, magical wands that can transform players, or silly masks representing the races of Azeroth.

However, you might instead get tricked, transforming into a ghost, or a critter such as a frog, bat, or black cat.

Fight the Headless Horseman

In addition to the trick-or-treating, you’ll defend starting towns such as Brill or Goldshire from the dastardly Headless Horseman as he hurls flaming pumpkins at buildings and just generally causes trouble.

Higher level players can head to Scarlet Monastery and battle the Horseman for a chance at epic quality items or even a special mount.

The Wickerman Festival

Undercity

Goldshire

The Wickerman Festival honors the Forsaken, celebrating their free will over the Lich King. To participate, seek out quests that can be done by both Alliance and Horde players!

Horde players can pick up the quests with Darkcaller Yanka by the Wickerman Statue in Tirisfal Glades.

The Alliance can pick up quests by Sergeant Hartman in Southshore.

Additionally, by seeking out the burning Wickerman, you can receive a strong buff that increases experience and reputation gain by 10% for 2 hours!

Keep Azeroth Safe, Find Spooky Loot!

As you adventure across Azeroth and take down foes, you can find Hallow’s End Themed Bags during the event:

  • Jack-o'-Lantern is an 18-slot bag that can drop from level 55+ mobs
  • Pumpkin Bag is a 16-slot bag that can drop from level 50+ mobs

Earn an Exclusive Title

Completion of the eleven holiday achievements specified by Hallowed Be Thy Name will grant a player title: <Name> the Hallowed.

Enjoy the spookiest of seasons, Heroes!

BRonzebeard World Boss Updates

World Bosses receive their first update:

As players from across Azeroth flocked to Silithus to take down Setis, and with more World Bosses releasing over time, Warcraft Reborn is making a few changes to World Bosses. This update increases the ways you can challenge World Bosses, creating opportunities for the entire realm to engage in crazy Open World PvP battles for loot, while at the same time making World Bosses accessible to everyone who wants to challenge them. Here's what you can look forward to:

World Bosses (PvP)

First, you can challenge World Bosses the normal way: by heading to where they spawn and engaging in lethal PvPvE combat. When you find them, you can attack them to tag the World Boss. If you can defeat it, your group gets the spoils.

World Bosses in the Open World have a shorter respawn time compared to the loot lockout time so that you can challenge them more often.

Here's more info:

  • Tuned for PvPvE
  • Respawns on their normal spawn timer in their classic locations in the Open World
  • Defeating a World Boss in this way awards additional Bloodforged versions of that World Boss's Gear

Defeat World Bosses to claim loot for the group who has the tag. Only the group who tagged the world boss receives loot, rather than everyone who shows up. Here’s how the tagging works now:

  • When you pull Setis, your group will get a “tag” on him and his nameplate will go grey for everyone else. Only the people who have the tag will get loot when Setis dies.
  • You can steal the tag from the group that currently has it by killing their entire group.
    • You’ll know you have the tag and get loot when:
      • The bosses’ name is now red for you rather than grey.
      • The boss is attacking members of your group.
  • Setis drops his normal loot template in addition to Treasures of Azeroth for the group who kills him with the tag. (And only the group).

This transforms specifically Open World World Bosses into giant PvPvE encounters where large groups can compete against the boss and each other with the main focus being on PvP.

World Bosses (PvE)

Then, for everyone looking for pure PvE encounters, all world bosses also have an instanced variant.

Instanced World Bosses give you a new way to experience the intensity of fighting these gigantic foes with teams up to 40. The instanced versions of World Bosses will have new features:

  • Instanced World Bosses will be stronger than their Open World counterparts, making the instanced Boss Fights a more intense challenge.
  • Instanced World Bosses will receive multiple levels of difficulty similar to Dungeons and Raids so that you can tackle these foes at multiple challenge levels and will reward Heroic, Mythic and even Ascended gear if you can take them down.
    • Heroic, Mythic and Ascended difficulties will release at later dates.
  • Instanced World Bosses will have a loot lockout for each boss.
  • A Boss Shrine will be placed that will allow you to access Instanced World Bosses at any time near the original spawn of the World Boss.
  • Everyone inside the instance participating can receive a treasures of Azeroth.
  • Bringing more people will increase the loot gained from the boss!
  • Instanced World Bosses will scale increase damage and health slightly (not as much as raids get!)

Boss Shrine

You can find these Boss Shrines near the original locations of the world boss. They are what can take you to the Instanced Version of the World Boss. They will teleport you into whatever difficulty you have currently selected under your character frame.

New Arena for Setis

Setis patrols a locked arena in Silithus - step outside and you’re out of the fight. He stands guard over the gates of Ahn’Qiraj.
