Adventurer,

Charge into the next Conquest of Azeroth Open Beta test and play all 21 classes on a fresh start event realm for FREE. Discover each class and get a head start mastering your favorite so you can be ahead of the pack when the realm launches Quarter 2 of 2025.

This is your chance to give your opinions, whatever they may be, to help shape CoA’s future. CoA needs your feedback on:

  • How do you feel about your class’s leveling experience?
  • How do you feel about their theme? Do you feel like a deranged Cultist, a dark Witch Hunter, a domineering Pyromancer, etc. while you’re playing that class?
  • How is their toolkit? Do they have thematic, powerful spells that you enjoy using? Is there bloat?
  • How does each spec feel? Does it fulfill its niche?

Make your voice and opinions heard by filling out the survey right here:

Polished Crowd Control and PvP Toolkits

CoA Classes had an abundance of CC effects like stuns, roots, etc. to the point where some classes had one of each type of crowd control skill. This made certain classes oppressive in PvP, and made PvP in general feel like you’d just get chain CC’d to death and not be able to play. This is fixed:

  • All CoA classes now have slightly fewer CC effects, resulting in CC being far less abundant and more manageable in PvP combat
  • All CoA classes now specialize in a particular type of CC, leading to more diversity of Crowd Control skills
    • You’ll feel like you are THE guy with the Stun or Fear effect, which will make you feel powerful
    • Grain of salt, there are 21 classes, so there is going to be overlap, but there should be significantly less now.
  • Stealths will be less prevalent on CoA going forward
    • Stealths were abundant on CoA, and sometimes didn’t make sense: i.e. Harvest Reaper, a plate wearing bruiser, realistically should not have access to stealth all of the time
    • Classes with stealth no longer just have 100% uptime when it doesn’t make sense
    • If you select the spec that focuses on stealth, you’ll return to 100% uptime on your stealth
  • Classes will have less total abilities as different CC spells, Defensives, etc. are combined into one skill
    • This tackles ability bloat
    • You can expect to see just a few less abilities on classes–not MUCH less, but a bit less.

Class Trainers

Conquest of Azeroth Class Trainers are now in starting zones like Goldshire, Kharanos, Brill, etc.

At level 3, you will now receive a message notifying you of your class quest. This should help out with pacing, as well as actually finding your trainer in the first place.

Class quests have been polished more, and should properly work for this event.

Auto-Build Feature

Some people are overwhelmed by Talent Trees and just want to play. There is now an auto-build button that will automatically allocate your talents for you as you level based off of the build you selected. This is totally optional! If you ever felt that CoA’s talent trees were too much to take in, this is right up your alley. Also helps new players jump into their favorite spec.

New World Boss

A new World Boss, Zanzrakka, Hexxed Scourge of Zul'gurub, lurks within the jungles of Stranglethorn. This level 45 world boss is exclusive to this event, and offers a unique challenge for those brave enough to face him down. If you succeed, you’ll find custom loot tailored for CoA classes. Seek out the Hexxed Scourge if you dare…

Give your Feedback…

Conquest of Azeroth needs your feedback: what did you like about your class? What feels wrong? What could be better before the official release?

Fill out the survey and give your opinion. The devs will be reading through every single survey to make CoA the best it can be before launch.

…and recruit a new friend!

Players who reach level 45 and fill out the above survey will receive the exclusive, time-limited Hex-shrunken Zanzrakka non-combat pet! This is a limited-time only pet, perfect for anyone who wants to show off that they were there before the realm went live.
