Conquest of Azeroth is moving into its third phase of development!
For the past two months, Conquest of Azeroth has undergone daily changes, improving classes, balancing gameplay, and preparing Ascension’s next project for release. After rigorous testing of levels 1-30 and the support of both our Alpha Testers and the community as a whole, Conquest of Azeroth is ready to move into its next phase: Alpha Phase 3! This phase will increase the level cap to 40, and offer heroes the chance to choose new spells and skills from each of the 21 unique class's THREE separate specializations! With these new skills unlocked, Heroes will be able to test dozens of custom spells and abilities, choosing what they like, unlearning skills for gold, and testing out different skill combinations.
Heroes begin gaining Ability Essences at level 30. Once you have these essences, you can spend them on Specialization Skills by clicking on the specialization books in your inventory. Just like classless WoW, different skills have different essence costs, and the cost of abilities will vary between 1 and 4 AE based on the power of the ability.
The more points you invest in a given specialization, the more skills you’ll unlock within that specialization!
Join the Conquest of Azeroth Alpha
If you’re not currently in the Alpha but are eager to test out these changes, there are three ways that you can get access right now:

CoA Roadmap Revision
Finally, the Conquest of Azeroth roadmap is going through a revision after Phase 3: future phases will boost the level cap in faster increments of 5 instead of 10! This will allow for more frequent releases, as well as helping the team get snapshots of important areas of gameplay.

Phase 3 will drop on December 21st @ 18:00 server time!
