Sunwell Plateau releases September 7th!
Step into the Sunwell Plateau: once the heart of the ancient Sunwell and source of the Blood Elves power. Now its strength serves a different master. Confront familiar foes and bosses, earn epic rewards, and challenge one of the Lords of the Burning Legion. But be warned, Hero: not everything is as you remember. With new mechanics and a new, original boss on all difficulties, this encounter might destroy even the strongest champions.

Normal and Heroic Difficulty
Charge into the final raid of The Burning Crusade! Like all Ascension raids, Sunwell Plateau’s initial release will include Normal and Heroic difficulties, with Mythic and Ascended arriving at a later date. This gives you the chance to leap into the raid and start collecting the strongest gear in the game, powering up while you prepare for stronger difficulties.
New Bosses and Mechanics
Sunwell Plateau features new mechanics to support legacy ones: this ensures a blend of familiar and brand new while you challenge the Legion’s forces.
Additionally, a new, original boss awaits you at all levels of difficulty, so look forward to challenging her as you storm the Sunwell’s lair.
New Rewards
Heroes who challenge Sunwell Plateau and survive can look forward to new rewards, including:
- Reworked Loot
Sunwell Loot has been re-worked to empower classless Heroes.
- Isle Weapons
Once Sunwell Plateau releases, you’ll have access to new items from G’eras for Badges of Justice, including new Isle of Quel’Danas Weapons.
- New Title: Deceiver’s End
Available only from defeating Kil’jaeden on Ascended Difficulty, the new title, Deceiver's End, will appear after your name. This incredible rare title is a testament to your indomitable might, proving not even one of the Lords of the Legion can stand against you.
- New Mounts
New mounts await Heroes who overcome the Sunwell’s challenges.
The Final Raid of TBC
Sunwell Plateau is the final raid of TBC, meaning once it releases, you can claim the strongest gear in TBC. Destroy the Legion’s forces, outfit your classless hero, and reach the ultimate heights of power in TBC!
