Craftable PvP gear has arrived on Ascension! 

With the release of Molten Core, all Bloodforged Tier 1 set pieces can now be upgraded into Sanguine Gear, significantly increasing both their PvP Power and Resilience. 

Here’s everything you need to know:

Overview

• Obtain Sanguine Recipes from Beast Nests, Hidden Caches, and Prestige
  • These recipes call for Molten Essences
• Hunt new Molten Essences from Core Forged monsters in Darkwhisper Gorge and the Tainted Scar
  • Core Forged: Certain creatures are now Core Forged, gaining increased health and damage
• No Retreat! Engaging with creatures and Heroes in these areas will prevent you from using teleportation spells and items to retreat.
• Sanguine Gear can only be crafted at a Sanguine Workbench
  • Found within Darkwhisper Gorge and the Tainted Scar.

End Game High-Risk PvP

Creating Sanguine gear is the most difficult, dangerous, and rewarding challenge High-Risk Heroes can choose to undertake: dive into the most dangerous zones to gather incredibly rare materials to craft the ultimate PvP gear! 

Upgrading Bloodforged Molten Core Gear requires Molten Essences, only obtainable in High-Risk from creatures in Darkwhisper Gorge and the Tainted Scar. However, these monsters have become Core Forged, increasing their health and damage dealt. Additionally, with only two locations to obtain Molten Essences,  you are competing directly against other high-risk Heroes.

Molten Essences require an item level of 65 to drop, meaning you’re competing directly against other geared high-risk Heroes.

High Risk. No Retreat.

Darkwhisper Gorge and the Tainted Scar are now more dangerous than ever! 

Attacking Core Forged creatures will apply [No Retreat] to you for 10 minutes. This debuff prevents you from using any spell that would teleport you to safety.No Retreat works both ways, though. If another Hero attacks you within these areas while [No Retreat] is active, they will also incur the debuff.

You will have to risk more than just your Fel Comm to craft Sanguine Gear. Sanguine Gear can only be crafted at a Sanguine Workbench, also found within Darkwhisper Gorge and the Tainted Scar. Sanguine Gear requires the base item, Molten Essence and components made from High-Risk materials from every profession.

New Ways to Earn Gold in High-Risk

Not interested in fighting for Sanguine Gear or Molten Essence? Sanguine Recipes can be found in Beast Nests and Hidden Caches. Epic Keys and Bait have a 100% chance to drop a Sanguine recipe.

Sanguine Gear requires crafted components from every profession, meaning High-Risk Materials have never been in such a high demand.
