Heroes!
It’s time to grab your strongest gear, enlist a friend and start practicing, because this Saturday will mark the start of a brand new weekly Arena 2v2 event!
Here's how it will work:
- The Arena Frenzy event will happen every Saturday between 20:00 and 21:00 server time
- While active, all 2v2 games will give you additional Honor and Mystic Orbs
- You'll also keep earning Arena Points as usual
- At the end, everyone who has won at least 3 games will receive a special lootbox
- The player(s) with the most wins will become that week's Arena Champion
- To enter the competition, simply queue for rated 2v2 as you normally would
Sounds easy, right?
All rewards are personal, so you’ll be able to participate regardless of if you have a long-standing 2v2 partner or find partners to queue with only for a few games.
The lootbox will contain Gold, Mystic Runes and Orbs, Mystic Enchant Scrolls, an Armor Kit that lets you enchant your gear with Resilience, and have a chance of containing a Limitless Noggenfogger Elixir.
To the winner go the spoils
At the end of the event, the player(s) with the most 2v2 arena wins during the event will become that weeks Arena Frenzy Champion(s)! This hard-earned accomplishment comes with additional rewards:
- The Arena Champion's Tiger mount
- A Champion's Tabard
- An Account-bound Commendation awarding 1 000 Arena Points
These rewards are only for the current Arena Frenzy Champion(s), and will thus only last for 7 days, until the next Champion is crowned.
Oh and by the way: since the rewards go to whoever has the most wins, regardless of rating, the playing field here is different. You'll be queueing up and matched against opponents based on your MMR, so everyone has a chance to win. Even if you're not a high-rated arena player, you'll still have a chance to become the Arena Frenzy Champion!
