Grumpus, the not-so-friendly yeti has come to wreck the halls!
Once upon a time on Draenor, a terrible tale of an old sasquatch that kidnapped children was whispered during the winter season. The beast would drag children back to his lair and do the most unspeakable thing imaginable: give them toys that they didn’t even want! Grumpus, the mean old yeti, took great joy in presenting children with terrible presents--and now he’s come to Azeroth to spread the ‘cheer’!
Grumpus - a flex scaling world boss
A new World Boss, is here to snub all of your Winter veil spirit. This giant yeti is a brand new, custom world boss that uses flex scaling to take down any number of Heroes that dare to challenge his Winter Veil rule! Grumpus is scaled to 5 players minimum, and will increase in strength the more Heroes that show up on his doorstep! Heroes who take him down can earn Mystic Orbs, Mystic Runes, Marks of Ascension, and brand new Winter Veil Cosmetics by completing a Daily Quest from NPCs located in Shattrath, Stormwind, and Orgrimmar!
The best part? Grumpus may be a miser, but your group doesn’t have to be--no grouping is required to participate in slaying Grumpus! All Heroes can participate just by giving him a few thwacks, so when you see his shadow fall over the trees, tighten your belt and prepare your Mace of Winter Veil Cheer!
Rewards
Tons of rewards are available for sending Grumpus back to his cave, including:
- Mystic Runes
- Mystic Orbs
- Marks of Ascension
- New Winter Veil Cosmetics
- The unique Minion of Grumpus mount!
But keep your eye on the calendar, Heroes: this event is only available during the Feast of Winter Veil, from December 15th to January 2nd! Once it’s over, all the cosmetics go with it--so if you hope to outfit your champion and bring joy to the world, you won’t want to miss out!
