Heroes!

Season 7 is live and kicking! With the flood of new Heroes storming Ascension’s gates, gnomish and goblin engineers have been working around the clock to bring you exciting news:

Server capacity and performance has increased by a whopping x2!

Grab your friends, your mom, and your pet rock:  The Season 7 Realm, Al’ar, can now hold double the number of players with  SIGNIFICANTLY less lag! And it’s a good thing, too, because the server is booming. Alongside the increased server capacity, dozens of bug fixes have gone live to stomp out the pesky problems that prudent players have pontificated upon since the realm’s debut on August 6th. And it’s not stopping there: over the course of the next few weeks, expect dozens of additional stability and server capacity upgrades to reduce lag, hold more Heroes, and keep Ascension GROWING.

Area 52 Updates

Area 52 has a slew of new updates hitting it as well. To start, the new Mystic Enchantment UI appears on Free Pick, and the old Build Creator has been temporarily disabled while we roll out the 2.0 Hero Architect. Not only that, but:

Prestige Mode is now available on Area 52!

Relive the leveling adventure and look forward to MASSIVE rewards at the end: Prestige Mode is live on Area 52! Now, Heroes on Free Pick can gather gear and powerful resources like Mystic Runes, Orbs, and Marks of Ascension by resetting to level 1 and experiencing the thrills and chills of Azeroth and Outland. While you level, you’ll see a chest in your inventory--get to level cap and you can open it, unlocking the treasures within!

And if that wasn’t enough, all of the fixes and performance updates on Al’ar have also been implemented on Area 52, bringing more stability to the realm! Development is going into overdrive, and tons of updates are in the works for Area 52. More information will be made available in the coming weeks.

Zul’gurub - August 14th

Face the fury of the Blood God: Zul’gurub, Season 7’s first Raid releases this Saturday on Al’ar! Heroes can look forward to all four difficulty levels of this iconic dungeon-- Flex Normal, Flex Heroic, Ascended 10man, and Ascended 25man. Dive deep into the ancient Gurubashi Troll homeland and slay the Loa captive within. If you succeed, you’ll face down Jin’do and the Blood God himself, grabbing incredible loot that will take your game to the next level.

PvP Progression 1 - August 15th

Season 7 heroes are no strangers to battlegrounds--whether you’ve been using them to level, explore, or test your Classless Build, BG’s have been bumpin’ since the season’s launch. With PvP Progression 1, brand new gear and rewards await you for purchase with hard-won Honor from Battlegrounds! Grab your rewards this Sunday!
