Mythic Coin Cap Removed For the Remainder of TBC
Push as hard as you want! The Mythic Coin cap has been removed for the remainder of TBC. Dedicated Heroes can accumulate coins without limits. Whether you're grinding through multiple keys in a single session or saving up for that perfect piece of gear, your coins will keep flowing. Every successful run adds to your growing treasury of power, and your dedication is the only limit.
Streamlined Mythic+ Recycling
Edrim Skysong is here to make gear recycling effortless. Simply sell your unwanted Mythic+ items directly to him and he'll convert them into Mythic+ Coins instantly. This vendor-based approach transforms recycling from a chore into a seamless part of your post-run routine. Clear out your bags and grab your coins.
You can sell Mythic+ Items to Edrim Skysong on any of his vendor options, but we also added a button to the recycle UI as well.
Instant Upgrades to Your Highest Key Level
Your gear can now be upgraded directly to the highest key level you've completed. Conquered a level 25 key? Every piece of Mythic+ gear you own can immediately reach that power level. This is greatly improved from having to upgrade every piece of gear from the menu then doing that 25 times over.
Mythic 41 and Higher - Bonus Coin Reward CHANGES
Bonus Coins were designed with a clear mission: encourage you to push as high as possible, reward group play where everyone helps each other climb, and create opportunities for high-level players to join lower groups while still earning meaningful rewards. This system was meant to keep the community connected. Veteran players could help others progress while still benefiting from their participation.
However, an unintuitive exploit emerged. Some mischievous players discovered they could maximize rewards by completing a key with 3 chests (upgrading from level 1 to 4), then deliberately downgrading back to level 2. This created artificial "progression" opportunities that rewarded system manipulation. This process repeated for all key levels until it was no longer possible to get more than 1 chest in that key.
We've eliminated this exploit entirely while significantly buffing the baseline coin rewards for everyone. While at the time it was recognized that this was likely too many coins in higher key levels but, it was kept in check via the coin cap that existed. With the coin cap being removed, the quadratic scaling has been reworked to better match the design goals. Rewards will still increase rapidly in early levels to encourage aggressive pushing, but past Mythic Level 40, the bonus increases more moderately to maintain long-term balance.
