After countless pleas from PvE enthusiasts everywhere, Ascension invites you to dive into Classless in a brand new way:
Full PvE mode comes to Ascension No-Risk!
Step into a world of untold danger as you pit your classless Hero against Monsters, Dungeons, Raids, and more. Experience the wonders of Azeroth and Outland as you customize your Hero, pick your spells and talents, empower yourself with Mystic Enchantments, and face your creativity off against the environment. Have you got what it takes to create a Hero worthy of conquering Ascension?
Heroes across Ascension have been asking for this for forever, and we finally had the ability to make it happen: now, when you select ‘No Risk’ mode (either when your character reaches level 20, or by speaking to one of the Hybrid-Risk NPC’s in Cities), you’ll have the option to choose either PvP or PvE playstyles.
Selecting PvP will flag you for player vs. player combat. Much like PvP Servers, this will allow you to attack and be attacked by other Heroes out in the world. While in No-Risk, of course, loot will NOT drop on death, and Heroes are free to engage in World PvP with only their pride on the line.
Meanwhile, selecting PvE will unflag you for PvP combat. Much like PvE servers, this mode ensures that you won’t need to worry about other Heroes attacking you while you’re on your adventure, allowing you to focus on what YOU want. No more ganks, no more boring, unwanted PvP encounters--just your adventure, your way.
The Benefits
For too long, Heroes in No-Risk have suffered from two specific fates: Heroes who want to PvP run into prey that won’t fight back. Their quarry sits there and waits to either die or be left alone, and that’s pretty much the most depressing experience a PvPer can have. Meanwhile, Heroes focused on PvE have to worry about getting ganked, wrecking the flow of their adventure and being a general annoyance.
Now both parties can rejoice in the brand new PvE mode! PvE heroes can quest to their heart’s content without worrying that some jerk gnome is going to stab them out of nowhere, and PvP focused Heroes can roam the world knowing that those they encounter will be prepped and ready for battle!
