Tanks for Being Patient!
Tank Builds Receive a Little Love This Update
Heroes!
Being a Tank is a tough job; you’re up close and dirty with the worst of monsters, you take all of the hits, and you absolutely have to make sure that monsters attack you and not the rest of your party. This can be pretty difficult when a fully geared DPS is pouring on damage like salad dressing. In fact, it could almost be said that the DPS players in raids were responsible for threat management;, rather than the tanks. This, bluntly put, ain’t how it’s supposed to be.
Introducing the Threat Overhaul, a series of tweaks to spells that should put the power of threat management back into the hands of tanks. Now, DPS won’t have to rely on quirky game mechanics to mitigate their threat.
These updates should put threat management back where it belongs: in the hands of the guys in plate armor, or in the paws of a bear.
Not exclusively though; we’re open to new tank builds.
