Group Finder Tool Improvements
Heroes,
Ascension’s ingame group finder is receiving multiple quality of life updates that’ll make it easier and more convenient to use when finding groups or creating groups!
General Improvements
First, you will now find it generally easier to form and join groups for activities you’re searching for.
If you decide to list yourself on the group finder for something like daily quests, you’ll get a notification if someone forms a new group for that same activity (as long as you meet the group requirements). These notifications take the form of a pulsing flash at your minimap, as well as a chat message!
This helps Heroes looking for the same thing find each other! It will also make signing up for the group finder significantly more convenient. Furthermore, this system also notifies party leaders when an individual Hero queues up for the group finder, in a similar way.
For example, if you decide to form a group looking to do dailies, you’ll get the same notification as individual Heroes would, except it will only trigger when someone decides to queue up on their own (as long as they meet the group requirements).
Finally, the item level requirement now prevents Heroes from requesting to join groups if they’re not high enough level. This functionality was put in place to guarantee your group requests are high enough gear level for the content you’re hoping to complete.
Search Bar and UI Upgrades
A few small UI tweaks as well as some improvements to the search bar’s functionality also arrive with this update.
Now, in order to create a listing, you’ll need to choose whether you want to create a group or find a group, making it easier to immediately differentiate what activity you’re planning on doing. Furthermore, there’s also been a small tweak to how sub categories are sorted, making it easier to find/create groups for activities Heroes are doing most often.
In addition, the search bar at the top left will now actively expand categories while you’re searching, opening up each subset of categories as you type! This should make it significantly easier to find the exact activity you’re looking for.
Overall, these changes should make it more appealing and easy to use the group finder to find and create groups, letting you play the way you want!
