To purchase gear using Raider’s Commendations, simply defeat the boss that drops the desired item once. After this, you permanently unlock the ability to exchange commendations for that gear. For example, after defeating Ragnaros, you can trade commendations for items like the Choker of the Firelord, removing the frustration of relying on luck.
