PvP Progression 1 - Warcraft Reborn

Adventurers!

PvP Progression 1 is here!

Leap into Battlegrounds and the Arena to conquer the competition and earn incredible rewards. On Ascension, PvP is divided into smaller, more frequent seasons called PvP Progressions. Each PvP Progression brings:

  • A new set of PvP gear which you can get with Honor or Arena Points
  • Reduced price for the previous set
  • A new Arena Season
    • New chance to earn exclusive Titles, Mounts, and Cosmetic Sets
  • Arena Points are converted into honor
  • Honor Points are kept through Progressions

Here’s how PvP works.

PvP Progression

As you dive into Battlegrounds and the Arena to compete against other players, you’ll collect Honor and Arena Points. These two currencies can be traded for PvP Gear.

It doesn’t matter which you use: the best PvP gear in the game can be obtained with either Honor or Arena Points, so how you play is completely up to you.

When you have enough Honor or Arena Points, you can trade it for PvP Gear in Stormwind and Orgrimmar. PvP Gear has PvP Power and will make you deal more damage to players.

As you amass honor, you can work towards upgrading your gear into the next set: there are multiple different levels of PvP sets, and each one is an upgrade that will help you dominate in PvP.

Rise through the Ranks

Each PvP Progression brings a new set of gear while reducing the cost of the previous set. This helps everyone get geared up and ready to compete each time a new Progression comes out.

Previous Tier Gear Cost Goes Down

Arena Rewards

The Arena is the ultimate test of PvP skill: small skirmishes of 4-6 players duking it out to see who’s the strongest. If you can crush the competition and rise through the ranks, incredible cosmetic items await you: Cosmetic Sets, Mounts, Tabards with exclusive effects, Weapon Illusions, and Titles are only available to the strongest PvPers

You can compete in the Arena in either 2v2 or 3v3 brackets.

  • 2v2 Arenas can be done in a party OR through Solo Queue, which automatically pairs you with a partner so you can leap straight into combat
  • 3v3 Arenas are Solo Queue Only: leap into the fray with a random group and prove you’re the strongest around

Cosmetic Sets

Climbing the ranks and achieving Arena Rating unlocks exclusive Arena Cosmetics. When you’ve got a high enough rating, speak to Merul in capital cities (or booty bay) to see what different sets you can grab.

Tabards

Sets aren’t the only cosmetics you can grab: for players who achieve High Arena ratings, you can obtain Cosmetic Tabards that add brutal on-death effects on players you kill. Burn them to ash or send their soul to the heavens with these exclusive tabards.

Mounts

Weapon Illusions

End of Season Rewards

The top 10 players in both 2v2 and 3v3 brackets will receive the Gladiator title once PvP Progression 1.5 and 2.5 end. Each new PvP Progression is a new chance to compete to earn this exclusive title. Arena Ratings are reset with each Progression.

Where to get PvP Gear

Seek out PvP gear in the Champion’s Hall in Stormwind for the Alliance, and at the Hall of Legends for the Horde. Inside these war rooms, you’ll find merchants to barter with and even various representatives from PvP Factions to trade with.

Summary

With PvP Progression 1, you can look forward to NEW PvP gear, a new Arena Season to challenge to claim exclusive cosmetics, and action-packed combat in both Battlegrounds and Arenas.

See you in combat, adventurer.
