Thunder bellows from the heart of Shadowmoon Valley: Black Temple releases January 27th @ 18:00 Server Time on Area 52.
Storm into the most iconic raid in TBC: Black Temple arrives with new mechanics and reworked bosses. Like Hyjal Summit, each boss has expanded mechanics on top of their existing ones. Each also has a custom achievement to unlock: unlock them all to earn an exclusive cosmetic mount. Additionally, Illidan himself has a chance to drop a rare mount similar to Archimonde.
With Black Temple’s release, the 5-piece T6 bonus has been improved for all sets. Similarly, many items in BT receive upgrades as well to bring them in line with other T6 items.
Finally, Illidan’s legendary weapons, the Warglaives of Azzinoth, can now be obtained in a unique new way: you can find the Depleted Warglaives off of Illidan himself, and can re-empower them by acquiring special items from Lady Vashj and Kael’thas Sunstrider.

Black Temple releases on January 27th @ 18:00 server time. Normal and Heroic difficulty will release first, with Mythic and Ascended releasing roughly 2 weeks after.
Prior to Black Temple, a Balance Update will be released on Area 52. This update will be announced in the Discord.
