Zul’Gurub releases Saturday, November 1st @ 18:00 server time on Warcraft Reborn!

Gather your allies and plunge into Zul’gurub, facing off against the Gurubashi Trolls and their ancient loa gods in Reborn’s first raid release. Explore updated bosses, mechanics, and more throughout ZG.

This is the first ever Raid on Ascension to feature the RPG Creature Overhaul!

An Updated Experience

Zul’gurub has accumulated tons of updates throughout the years to make it challenging and rewarding to all who face it. If this is your first time diving into its depths, be prepared:

- Mythic & Ascended - 7 Day Lockout - First reset is going to be the 5th at 06:00 Server Time. Every 7 days after.

Re-tuned and Enhanced Items

More Worldforged Upgrades unlock with Zul’Gurub.

With the release of ZG, you’ll be able to upgrade your Worldforged Items into stronger versions, rivaling ZG items. You’ll need to clear ZG and defeat Hakkar first in order to upgrade these items.

With the release of ZG, you’ll be able to upgrade your Worldforged Items to their first Epic Tier.

Reputation Rewards - Crafted Items and Gear

Missing the hit rating you need to dominate bosses? Gather reputation with the Zandalar Tribe and get your hands on ZG Crafted items. Not only will these get you the strength you need to challenge bosses, but these crafted items will be stronger than ever thanks to the bonus stats granted by the Profession’s Overhaul. You can even upgrade the gear you create to make it stronger with upgrade kits.

Of course, crafted items aren’t the only thing you can get through reputation: look forward to empowered items with new effects that can take you to the next level:

Zul’Gurub Enchantments

The Enchantments for classes are no longer bound to the classes, so you can grab any ZG enchantment you want for your class. Additionally, Voodoo Dolls found in voodoo piles are now named after the class that needs them to make it clearer for everyone with no more guessing which doll you got.

Raider’s Commendations and Romus the Redeemer

Each time you slay a boss in any raid, you’ll receive Raider’s Commendations, which can be redeemed at Romus the Redeemer in capital cities for any item from a raid you’ve cleared. That means each time you slay a boss in any raid, you’re making progress towards your next item.

Collect Raider’s Commendations to make progress towards the exact item you want and grow stronger.

Next Tier of Callboard Caches release

With the release of Zul’gurub, you’ll be able to find ZG gear inside your Callboard Caches as long as you have an item level of at least 63.

When you complete a Callboard Quest, you’ll receive points that get you closer to your next treasure chest. Fill up the bar to get a Callboard Cache filled with items!

With the release of ZG, once you have an item level of 63 or higher, two things will happen:

The number of points needed to unlock a Callboard Cache will increase
Your Callboard Caches will always contain ZG items

Once you have an item level of 63 or above, you’ll begin finding ZG items inside Callboard Caches. You’ll have a chance to find powerful gear the Touch of Chaos, Mandokir’s Sting, and Nat Paggle’s Fish Terminator.

Find Bloodforged and Heroic Bloodforged Zul’gurub Items

You’ll also start finding Bloodforged Zul’gurub Items in High Risk PvP. Grab PvP versions of your favorite ZG Items like Zin'rokh, Destroyer of Worlds or Bloodcaller and take your power to the next level. Mousing over your treasure hunter buff in high risk will let you know if you have met the threshold.

Upcoming Brand New Content

Look forward to new content on the horizon: as you charge through Zul’gurub and wage war against the ancient trolls, brand new challenges are in the works. Here’s a teaser for some of the content coming to all Ascension realms.

New World Boss

A new, custom World Boss is in the works off of Azeroth’s coast. Explore an ancient underwater temple and swim through its depths to surface in an underwater cavern where a brand new threat awaits you and your raid. Hold your breath until you get to the cavern, then prepare to face your foe on dry land.

New Dungeons

As you swept through your starting zones and encountered the new locations there, many of you may have noticed the new Dungeon Entrances located in Northshire and the Valley of Trials. These are new dungeons, and they’re in development right now. Here are some teaser screenshots to wet your appetite.

A brand new contested zone, fully fleshed out with new quests and new locations to explore, is in the works and will eventually come to all Ascension realms.
