Sharpen your blades and fight for glory in the Twilight Highlands: Twin Peaks opens tomorrow, September 11th!

The Twin Peaks are a strategic chokepoint crucial to Horde and Alliance assaults on the Twilight’s Hammer cult. These craggy mountains are so vital to the war effort that the Dragonmaw clan of orcs and the Wildhammer dwarves remain locked in seemingly endless battle to this day, each hoping to claim definitive ownership of the peaks.

Battleground Overview

Storm the Twilight Highlands and dominate your foes: Twin Peaks is a 10v10 capture the flag style Battleground that pits the Wildhammer Dwarves against the vicious Dragonmaw Orcs. Similar to Warsong Gulch, victory is achieved when one side captures three enemy flags. Unlike Warsong, however, Twin Peaks allows Heroes to master the environment and use stumps, rivers, valleys, and hills to their advantage as they take out enemies and bring their team to victory. 

Victory Conditions:

• Capture 3 enemy flags before the time limit
• Have the most captures when the time runs out
• If the score is tied: the last team to have captured the enemy flag wins!
• Note: Heroes will take additional damage the longer they hold onto the flag

Call To Arms: Big Upgrades

Along with the release of Twin Peaks, some big changes are coming to Battlegrounds! First up, Call to Arms will no longer be limited to the Weekend! The system is getting a major upgrade: one that fans of Battlegrounds should enjoy.

New Call to Arms:

• Call to Arms now cycles daily, offering a new CTA Battleground every day!
  • Day 1: Warsong Gulch
  • Day 2: Arathi Basin
  • Day 3: Eye of the Storm
  • Day 4: Twin Peaks
  • Note: Call to Arms Callboard Quests will always correspond to the current CTA
• Added Random Battleground Queue
  • Heroes can now queue for a Random Battleground for increased rewards! This addition should help get Heroes into the same BG and encourage more fierce competition.
  • Heroes can now queue either the specific CTA Battleground, or a Random Battleground
• Wargame Quests
  • A new Call Board quest for Wargames makes its way to the Hero’s Call and Warchief’s Command boards! Want to challenge another guild to a 40v40 WSG? Now you can snag rewards if you do!
• PvP Weapons Unleashed!
  • Polished PvP Weapons are making their way into the Arena Pre-Season! Get ready to arm yourself for battle as you equip brand new weapons and slay the competition.
• Crow's Cache Exclusive Mount Added
  • An extremely rare new mount has a small chance to drop from Crow's Cache! Will you find it

Bonus EXP, DP, honor, and arena points!

To celebrate the release of a new battleground, this weekend--starting Friday, September 11th, marks the start of a Bonus EXP Weekend! Get ready to blast through levels and gear up for battle:
