Felsworn
Embrace the power of the fel and burn through foes as a Felsworn! Use Combo attacks to weave certain abilities together to create additional effects. Previously agents of the Burning Legion, Felsworns now use their demonic knowledge in service of a greater cause. Cleave through swaths of foes with powerful combos, or harness chaos magics to burn enemies to cinders. An agile fighter, the Felsworn can lead or follow in a group setting, and is dangerous to encounter alone. Woe unto the fool whom the Felsworn makes its prey…
Role: Tank, DPS
Primary Stat: Agility, Intellect
Armor: Leather
Specializations
Infernal: Infernal Felsworns channel their power into demonic magics as chaotic Fel Warlocks, conjuring felfire storms and chaos bolts to consume their enemies. This extremely mobile caster spec specializes in instant casts and DoTs, dashing around the battlefield and bathing foes in felfire.
Slaying: Slayers devote their training to material prowess and physical ability. A highly mobile and deadly melee combatant, Slayers let loose brutal combo attacks on enemies and deal massive burst damage. Use your skills tactically in a specific order to trigger bonus effects.
Tyrant: Spur your allies into combat as a Tyrant: a chaotic bulwark: Tyrant Felsworns are mighty tanks wielding felfire and flames. Yet they still maintain their agile nature and serve as Dodge-based tanks, able to mitigate, deflect, and even evade damage entirely as they leap into combat.
Guardian
The Guardian is a stoic knight committed to the rules of chivalry and engagement. A master of all martial weapons, this Strength-focused fighter is the perfect adventurer for exploring the world of Azeroth. With heavy defense through plate armor, and the ability to Tank, DPS or even fully Support allies, the Guardian stands as a stalwart ally to any party: and a deadly foe to encounter alone.
Role: Tank, DPS, Support
Primary Stat: Strength
Armor: Plate
Specializations
Gladiator: Don the savage mantle of the Gladiator and engage foes in brutal combat: Gladiator Guardians have a plethora of nets, charges, and leaps to stick to even the slipperiest foes. With a focus on physical damage, Gladiators also have robust defenses in their plate armor and serve as the perfect fighter.
Vanguard: Lead the charge into battle with ironclad protection and destructive force: Vanguard Guardians shield themselves and allies in a tanking spec with multiple AoE abilities to keep targets focused on them. Wielding a massive shield with nigh impenetrable defense, Vanguards are the ultimate Shield Tanks.
Inspiration: Inspire your allies with ballads and songs that bolster their effectiveness on the battlefield. Inspiration guardians are empowering support heroes that often serve as Bards to the adventurers of Azeroth. Lead the charge with spells that boost your group’s morale and power, claim conquered territories by placing supportive Banners and sing empowering songs of battle: with plenty of abilities that enhance their group, Inspiration Guardians are a welcome force in any adventuring party.
Witch Doctor
Wield the power of voodoo: the Witch Doctor uses ancient hex magics to curse and cripple foes, as well by mixing potions and elixirs to create powerful temporary buffs. They can also summon primal dinosaurs to aid them in combat, empowered by the Loa Wild Gods.
Role: DPS, Healer
Primary Stat: Agility, Intellect
Armor: Leather
Specializations
Brewing: Brewing Witch Doctors create powerful potions on the fly, and can mix them in different ways to provide different buffs depending on the situation. Learning to mix potions quickly mid-combat will mark you as an effective Brewer. Brewing Witch Doctors can also channel beams of voodoo energy and place iconic Healing Wards to keep allies alive and invigorated through the most savage encounters.
Voodoo: Voodoo Witch Doctors focus on hexes and jinxes to enfeeble foes, stacking multiple debuffs and DoTs on targets. Once foes are significantly crippled, you can channel dark magic into them to enhance your debuff’s effects. Voodoo Witch Doctors specialize in wearing them down, and sending them to the Odda’ Side as shallow husks. Stay away from da voodoo!
Shadowhunting: Not all Witch Doctors are casters: Shadowhunter Witch Doctors embrace the legacy of Vol’jin, becoming deadly ranged hunters that channel the wrath of their Loa Gods while pelting enemies with glaives and serpent wards. Use a bow to land precise shots with shadow-poisoned arrows while being supported by an invoked dinosaur and Serpent Wards.
Changes
- Improved Talent Tree Paradigm
CoA’s Talent Tree paradigm has changed: each side of the tree now properly conveys a clear theme and vibe for the class. Check out the Animation Necromancer as an example:
Talent trees have been polished so that each side naturally builds on eachother and meets in the middle: for example, Animation Necromancers can unlock Animate: Lesser Zombie…
…and moving further down the tree unlocks talents that support and bolster your decision!
Talent Trees have also been organized so that you unlock your full rotation before level 30, with the remaining levels being dedicated to customizing aspects of your class that you love–as well as grabbing your super sick longer cooldown spells.
Primalist
Wildwalker Primalists gain the following spells:
- Harness Animal Spirit
- Call Animal Spirit
A Tame Beast equivalent, Wildwalkers now have the ability to harness and stable multiple pets. You can call upon any pet you have while in combat with the new Call Animal Spirit spell, which causes your selected companion to instantly come to your side even if stabled. Thematically, you are calling on a Spirit Animal to aid you in your fight!
This new spell replaces the pets previously summoned by the Wildwalker’s boons. Now you have more control over which animal companions you summon. You are able to switch your pets in combat. Gotta Harness ‘Em All💯
Reaper
- Reaper spells no longer have any Health Costs
Reaper abilities costing HP as a melee class led to bad experiences while leveling and in PvP where just using your spells would sometimes result in you straight up dying. It made healer’s panic, it felt bad to the Reaper, and it was simply unnecessary.
Reaper spells no longer have HP costs, so now you can focus on stealing health rather than spending it.
Chronomancer
- Massive improvements to Artificer
- Overhaul to Duality
Artificer Chronomancers will now find their Wand abilities massively improved, and the spec will feel much more fluid than before.
Duality Chronomancers have had their talent trees adjusted so that they can be equal parts Order and Chaos in a single spec–you know, a Duality.
Previously, you could not be equal parts Order and Chaos, and had to choose which you wanted to swing towards. Now you can harness both Order and Chaos easier and be both at the same time: the Duality spec is much more cohesive and integrated with itself, and less two specs in a trenchcoat.
Sun Cleric
- The Piety and Seraphim specs have received a big overhaul after player feedback
During the Pilgrim’s Bounty test, players voiced concerns about the strengths of the Sun Cleric’s Piety and Seraphim specs. These two specs have undergone massive improvements, including adjustments to their Talent Trees, better resource costs, and better rotations.
Just check ‘em out. You won’t regret it.
