League 4 Merge Details

As League 4 winds down and Heroes prepare to step into TBC, you have the choice to merge all of your Archimonde characters together to either Area 52 or Thrall:

• Area 52: Free Pick and Build Draft
• Thrall: Draft Mode

Upon logging into Archimonde for the next few days, you’ll be prompted to choose the realm you want to merge to.

You MUST CHOOSE A REALM by 7/25! Otherwise, you’re going to Thrall. 

No matter where you choose to merge, all your stuff comes with you.

  • Your levels
  • All currencies
  • Your Bank
  • Your inventory
  • All your items
  • Your Mystic Enchantment Collection
  • Your personal traumas and regrets
• What doesn’t come with you
  • Your Build
    • Your builds are wiped before transferring, so if you go to Free Pick you can make it again or enter Build Draft
      • You can save a build code to get a head start!
    • Heroes who move to Thrall will draft new builds for each spec
      • You can assign skill cards before you pick your first 4 starting abilities even at 60.
      • If you are level 60, you can still use the Dealer’s Draft Deck to draft your first 4 starting abilities.
  • Your name
    • If there is already someone with your name on the realm you merge to, you will be prompted to rename your character

Additionally, class based Heroes will become classless with the merge. There is a high possibility that a realm specifically for the OG Classes will appear in the future.

Activating and Deactivating Characters

After the merge, you may find that you have more than 10 characters on a realm. On Ascension, characters can be activated and deactivated, allowing you to have more than 10 characters on a single realm!

To activate or deactivate characters, access your control panel on Ascension.gg. From there, you can simply toggle on the characters you want to see when you're logged in. Activate characters you want to play, and deactivate characters you want to store for later!

Hyjal Summit

Hyjal Summit has been completely revitalized in an overhaul worthy of one of the most iconic moments in Warcraft History: Band together to stop Archimonde. New mechanics, new voicelines, items, events, and spell visuals bring Hyjal Summit into the modern age. These new features expand upon the raid’s existing mechanics, items, and design to make it feel like a truly upgraded experience.

Additionally, some big quality of life changes arrive to the raid:

Reduced Waves

Hyjal Summit had the most trash mobs out of any TBC raid by far. Though appropriate for the ultimate clash of Warcraft 3, heroes might enjoy the raid more in the modern era if there were less obstacles between them and epic boss fights.

Checkpoints

One of Hyjal’s most infamous mechanics was that if you wiped on a wave, you had to start from the beginning. Though perhaps a fitting mechanic for 2005, your time is more valuable than that. Therefore, Ascension’s Hyjal Summit now saves your progress after each successful raid: so if you wipe, you can just start from the wave you wiped on and continue pushing forward.

Glorious Raider Achievement

Hardcore raiders rejoice: Hyjal Summit will be the first raid in TBC to introduce the Glorious Raider achievement. 

Each boss in the dungeon has a specific achievement to tackle, and if you do them all and complete Hyjal on every difficulty, you’ll unlock the Glory of the Hyjal Raider achievement. This proves your truly epic heroism, and you’ll be rewarded with some truly epic cosmetics that show off your skill.

Custom Fights and Mechanics

Finally, Hyjal Summit has been completely overhauled with wild new mechanics, new challenges to overcome, and additions that bring it into the modern age. Get ready for an epic fight against Archimonde and the Scourge!

Flex Normal and Heroic Hyjal Summit will release on August 5th! Mythic and Ascended release dates will be announced after that. Hyjal will release first on Area 52, and then Thrall once Season 8 progresses into tier 6 content. Look forward to exploring its secrets, unlocking new epic items, and banding together with the Heroes of the past as you defend Azeroth against the legion!
