Normal and Heroic versions of the Raid release April 12th, with Mythic and Ascended releasing some time later. Challenge the threats within, discover the most powerful loot in TBC, and bring the legion to its end!
A balance patch will drop days prior to the release of Sunwell Plateau that will be mostly buffs!

Scroll of Fortune Quest Chain Cost Reduced - LIVE NOW
Silas Darkmoon’s Scroll of Fortune Quest Chain has had its Mark cost significantly reduced! Whether you don’t yet have enough Scrolls or are itching to Prestige, you’ll get more scrolls for less marks than ever.
Prestige Mega Buffed - LIVE NOW
If you love prestiging–whether you’re attempting various Hardcore Trials or just enjoying the journey through Azeroth into Outland, there’s more reasons than ever to Prestige:
- Your first 100 Prestige Levels now grant you 5 Scrolls and 10 Talent Scrolls per prestige
- This is cumulative: you get 5 Bonus Scrolls and 10 Bonus Talent Scrolls on your first prestige, 10/20 on your second, 15/30 on your third, and 500/1000 on your 100th.
This stacks with other systems like Scroll Buyback to make Prestiging a fantastic way to try new builds. Unlock a new specialization, Prestige a few times, and unlock the endless potential of your next Wildcard Build.
Increased Scroll of Fortune Rewards - LIVE NOW
Supercharge your Wildcard build with increased Scroll of Fortune and Skillcard rewards from content. Whether you’re powering up your current build or trying something totally new for the season, you can get scrolls faster to progress your character. Play new archetypes, gain new power, and challenge the final raid of TBC.
Here are the buffs you get to take advantage of:
Battlegrounds
- The Scroll of Fortune and Skillcard Bonus for completing a Battleground is increased by 50%
- The Scrolls you receive for winning a BG are increased by an additional 50%
Callboard
- Callboard Scroll and Skillcard Rates are increased by 100%
Mythic+
- Mythic+ Scroll Rates increased by 50%
LFG Dungeons
- The Scroll of Fortune Bonus for completing LFG dungeons is increased
- Completing LFG Dungeons now always awards 1 Scroll and 1 Talent Scroll
Heroic Dungeons
- Heroics now award 1-2 Scrolls of Fortune and 3-5 Talent Scrolls, up from 1 each
Mythic Dungeons
- Mythics now award 2-3 Scrolls of Fortune and 5-7 Talent Scrolls, up from 2 and 3 respectively
Adventurer's Caches
- Adventurer's Caches now guarantee 1 Talent Scroll and have a 50% chance to award an additional Scroll of Fortune
World Bosses
- World Bosses now award at least 4 Scrolls of Fortune and 6 Talent Scrolls, with a chance to award up to 8/12 respectively
Arena Matches now grant Scrolls of Fortune - LIVE NOW
You can now gain Scrolls of Fortune for winning matches in the Arena! Claim the best PvP gear in the game and empower your current and future specs while you do it.
- Winning a 1v1 has a chance to grant you 1 Scroll of Fortune and 1 Talent Scroll scroll
- Winning a 2v2 has a chance to grant you 1 Scroll of Fortune and up to 2 Talent Scrolls
- Winning a 3v3 has a chance to grant you 2 Scrolls of Fortune and up to 2 Talent Scrolls
Mythic+ Coin Cap Increase - LIVE NOW
The Mythic+ Coin Cap increases on Elune so you can further upgrade your Mythic+ gear. This is a BIG increase!
Manastorm Battlegrounds - 4/3
Charge into a wild and wacky (and optional!) way to PvP: Manastorm Battlegrounds add a crazy spin to classic BGs. Every 60 seconds, your favorite lovable Gnome, Millhouse Manastorm, will cause a magical anomaly that afflicts all players in the BG. From transforming you into a new creature with a new hotbar to polymorphing or fearing everyone, to even healing or damaging everyone in the BG, Manastorm Battlegrounds are an exciting and fun way to dive into PvP.
Raid Trials Re-tuned - TBA
- Raid trials were too hard and actually kind of impossible to do
- Now they’re more doable
- Go do raid trials and have fun
Raid Trials allow you to increase the difficulty of your raid beyond normal limits. This increases the health and damage of all creatures and bosses in the raid, and additionally reduces your healing. This makes raids much tougher to complete, even with more powerful gear from later tiers. But if you can overcome them, you’ll achieve rare cosmetic rewards that only the mightiest raiders will ever see.
Raid Trials emphasize mastery of mechanics from the fights you know and love. The difficulty will be congruent between trial levels regardless of the raid you're in. This means damage and health from bosses in Raid Trial level 1 in Karazhan will be comparable to that in Black Temple. This breathes new-life back into older Raids, as the mechanics will once again be challenging even with gear that far surpasses what is initially available within that tier.
Raid Trials progress linearly: you’ll need to complete level 1 before unlocking level 2, and so on. However, only one member of your team needs to have the level unlocked–so as long as one person in your party has completed Karazhan on level 5, your entire group can attempt level 6.
Additionally, you can progress through Raid Trials as you please: you’re not limited by a weekly reset, and you can attempt to push as far as you like. You can reset your Ascended Lockout as much as you want to attempt harder difficulties. You won’t get repeat boss loot on the additional lockouts though.

Magister’s Terrace Upgrades - 4/10
The Magister’s Terrace: the place Kael’thas Sunstrider told you to get your bitch ass to. Shrouded in mystery and brimming with arcane peril, the Magister’s Terrace proved too formidable for conventional adventurers—so much so that it's been removed entirely from the LFG system. Now standing apart from Mythic+ dungeons, Magister’s Terrace takes its place alongside Karazhan Crypts as a standalone dungeon with its own distinct item level, unique difficulty, and challenges, Heroes eager to face it will need to travel to the dungeon on foot to enter–but powerful rewards await.
