Heroes! 

Ascension is about building your class fantasy and we are excited to introduce new tools to open up entirely new ways to play, build and synergize with.

Moving forward we will continue adding new Mystic Enchants that focus on creating new cross class synergies, add new interactions and expand options to existing playstyles.

We look forward to seeing what you do with these new Mystic Enchants and will be keeping a close eye on balance and feedback to ensure they find their proper place and to continue developing the type of Mystic Enchants that help you live your class fantasy.

New Legendary Enchant: Prophet of Wrath
Your Arcane Blast and Arcane Missiles increase the duration of Divine Illumination by 0.5 seconds each time they damage an enemy. Your Smite and Holy Fire spells reduce the cooldown of Divine Illumination by 2 seconds.

While Divine Illumination is active, Arcane Blast and Arcane Missiles are infused with Holy power, causing them to deal Divine damage.

Divine damage is a combination of the Arcane and Holy schools, and will benefit from modifiers to both schools.

This is the first hybrid school spell in the game! It fuses the Arcane and Holy schools to create a combine spell school called Divine. Damage in this school will benefit from modifiers both to Arcane and Holy spells. When calculating damage, crit chance, miss chance and everything else, it will find whether Arcane or Holy has the highest bonus and then use that. This means that whether you want to focus your build around Arcane spells, Holy spells or both, your Divine spells will still be strong. 

Our hope is that this new hybrid school system will open up new and exciting synergies and look forward to seeing how you choose to play with it. 

New Legendary Enchant: Bulwark
Your Shield Block is replaced with an improved, channeled version. While active, you will Shield Slam nearby enemies every second and all incoming attacks will be critically blocked. Channeling reduces your movement speed by 50% and drains more and more energy. When your energy is depleted, the effect ends and cannot be recast until your energy is restored.

Before you get too frightened (or excited, depending on which side of the shield you’ll be), the triggered Shield Slam doesn’t deal quite as much damage as a normal Shield Slam. It does however still scale with your Block Value and all the talents and REs that increase your Shield Slam damage.

With this Legendary the more energy you can regenerate the longer you can keep your Bulwark up. Ever thought you’d be using Adrenaline Rush as a defensive cooldown? 

Updated Legendary Enchant: Compound Power
Your successful Steady Shots and Arcane Shots now award a combo point, and Slice and Dice now also increases your Ranged Attack Speed. 

If you know Aimed Shot you will now also learn Compound Shot, which consumes your combo points to fire an empowered Aimed Shot, increasing weapon damage by 5% for each combo point consumed. This ability scales with effects that increase the damage of Aimed Shot, and also shares a cooldown with it.

That’s right, we now have a Hunter finishing move! 

Or is it a Rogue Ranged attack? Hmm...

New Epic Enchant: Channeled Rage
Your melee criticals reduce the cooldown of Shamanistic Rage by 1 second and your spell criticals extend its duration by 2 seconds. However, your Shamanistic Rage no longer reduces damage taken and the mana regeneration is reduced to 5% of your attack power.

New Capstone: Thundering Strikes 
Increases your spell critical strike rating by 30% of your Agility. 

New Capstone: Shamanistic Focus 
Increases your spell hit rating by 10% of your Agility.

Strength-based hybrids get a fair chunk of spell damage through the Mental Quickness talent; these changes aim to make it more appealing to go or an Agility-based hybrid. If you choose to go that path, you will get a good deal of spell crit and hit through these new capstones. That could come in handy to keep your Shamanistic Rage going.

Actually, speaking of Agility hybrids… 

New Legendary Enchant: Master of Shadows
Your Sinister Strike, Eviscerate, Garrote, and Rupture now deal extra Shadow damage, scaling with your spell damage.

Your Sinister Strike criticals grant you Apprentice of Shadows, increasing your spell haste by 3% and your Shadow spell damage by 8% of your Agility for 8 sec, stacking up to 5 times. When fully stacked, your Eviscerate or Rupture consume Apprentice of Shadows to increase your Shadow spell damage by 40% of your Agility and increase your Shadow damage done by 10% for 10 sec.

This one already gives me nightmares.

Oh, and also:

New Epic Enchant: Shadow Arrow 
Your Black Arrow now increases the Shadow damage the target takes by 8%.

Turn the Tables 
Now also works with Cat Form attacks.

Spellstone 
Now increases the periodic damage of all periodic spells, not just Warlock ones.

Frostbrand Weapon 
Can now trigger Winter's Chill.

These are only some of the changes going live - we also have a bunch of more conventional tweaks to scalings, REs and Talents to improve both PvE and PvP balance along with a bunch of bugfixes. You’ll find those in the changelog.
