Project Ascension is a complicated beast. With every spell and ability in the game open for your choosing, it can get a bit confusing to try and sort out a build in your head, or even on paper. When it comes to getting deep into your spec, a Talent Calculator is almost always the way to go.
We have a few options to choose from on Ascension. Made by incredible members of our community, these calculators range from desktop applications and online spreadsheets, to in-game addons. We are constantly impressed by the dedication of players who make applications like these, and thanks to them, we’ve had access to talent calculators for quite some time. Now, with Ascension growing by the day, and with changes to talents and abilities becoming more frequent, we want to relieve some of the responsibility of keeping calculators up-to-date, and take on that burden ourselves.
Introducing the official Ascension Talent Calculator
The Ascension Talent Calculator is a web-based calculator, allowing you to mess around in your browser while playing Ascension, or even when you’re somewhere you can’t actually play (like work--not that we advocate that). It will feature the latest versions of spells and talents, and will allow you to build, tweak, and see your build no matter where you are. As we expand the official calculator, we hope to be able to offer more support and functionality to it, including systems such as importing your build straight onto your character, and maybe one day even being able to sell your build as an in-game item.
To the players who created the first Talent Calculators for Ascension: thank you so much. You provided immense value to our players, and we are incredibly grateful. We hope you continue to work on any Ascension tools and passion projects you may have, and if you ever want official help, shoot us a message and a developer application!
