Hardcore Community Challenges bring everyone together to socialize, collaborate, and overcome this incredibly Hardcore Challenge: leap into a massive 1-life community event!
The Boss Blitz starts June 1st!
This 1-month long Community Challenge begins 6/01/2026 @ 16:00 Server Time.
In the Boss Blitz Community Challenge, you’ll seek out allies and delve into Azeroth’s dungeons, slaying every classic boss in order without dying. Slay the boss, and you’ll be able to advance beyond your locked level.
For this Hardcore Trial, you must kill:
- Edwin VanCleef to level beyond 21.
- Mutanus the Devourer to level beyond 22.
- Archmage Arugal to level beyond 26.
- Aku'mai to level beyond 28.
- Charlga Razorflank to level beyond 33.
- Mekgineer Thermaplugg to level beyond 34.
- Bloodmage Thalnos to level beyond 34.
- Arcanist Doan to level beyond 37.
- Herod to level beyond 40.
- Amnennar to level beyond 41.
- Archaedas to level beyond 47.
- Lord Vyletongue to level beyond 47.
- Chief Ukorz Sandscalp to level beyond 48.
- Razorlash to level beyond 48.
- Celebras the Cursed to level beyond 49.
- Princess Theradras to level beyond 51.
- Shade of Eranikus to level beyond 55.
- Alzzin the Wildshaper to level beyond 58.
- Emperor Thaurissan to level beyond 59.
- King Gordok before reaching level 60.
- Prince Tortheldrin before reaching level 60.
- Overlord Wyrmthalak before reaching level 60.
- Balnazzar before reaching level 60.
- Baron Rivendare before reaching level 60.
- Darkmaster Gandling before reaching level 60.
Fall to ANY foe (creature, boss, or terrain, watch your step!), and you fail the challenge!
You can re-attempt the trial on a new character.
Rewards
Make it to level cap without dying, and earn some absolutely MASSIVE rewards:
- 2,000,000 Runes of Ascension
- Tradable to any character on your account
- Exclusive Cosmetic Rewards from that trial
- 5,000 Gold
Rewards are obtainable once per account
To participate in the challenge:
- Create a NEW Character on Bronzebeard and join this limited time 1 month event
- Group up with other adventurers, journey across Azeroth, and level up!
- Slay every Dungeon Boss listed above before reaching certain levels (you must slay the boss to advance beyond that level)
- Reach level cap without dying and claim MASSIVE rewards
Remember that once you accept the Boss Blitz Hardcore Trial, you’re bound to the following:
- One Life to Live
- If you die, you fail the challenge
- Your level will be locked until you slay the correct boss that allows you to press on!
- Your character is not lost on death
- No Heirlooms!
- Trade, Group, Quest, and adventure ONLY with other Hardcore Players
- No grouping with players more than 3 levels apart from each other!
- Character Restrictions
- No Auction House
- No Guild Bank
- No Realm Bank
- No Arena Queue
- No Battleground Queue
- No Dungeon Finder
- Challenge exclusive trading
- No Mail
Speak to the Trial Master in your starting zone at level 1to start this challenge. You can find the Trial Master close to where you awaken on your adventure.
