…Gold Inflation.

Yet hope remains. Across Azeroth, goblins arrive to help remove gold from the economy! These individuals are selflessly taking additional gold for themselves out of the economy to save the world from inflation’s wrath.

And you get to benefit from it. If you’re lucky.

Trade Prince Jastor Gallywix, leader of the Bilgewater Cartel, is here with a new ‘feature’ that he guarantees Azeroth’s greatest economists will make himself you rich. Introducing Gallywix’s Lottery.

Gallywix’s Lottery is a brand new way to make tons of gold every single week–is what the goblin himself would tell you. With his trusty companion Goldilocks at his side, Gallywix will allow Heroes all over Azeroth to purchase Lottery Tickets for his grand event. After one week’s time, one lucky Hero will win the whole pot–minus 30% that the Cartel keeps as a ‘service fee’, of course.

Here’s how it works:

• Heroes can now purchase [Golden Tickets] from Goldilocks, the animated Gold Elemental.
• As more and more Heroes purchase tickets, Goldilocks will grow in size.
  • Displaying how much Gold is up for grabs
• The lottery will run for one week
  • Buy as many tickets as you want, with each increasing your chance to win
  • Each ticket costs a measly 10g! What a bargain!
• At the end of that week, one lucky Hero will win the entire pot!
  • One player will be mailed the whole pot
    • -30% for the Goblin’s personal cut
    • Selflessly fighting inflation!
• After awarding the pot, the Lottery will reset, allowing Heroes to purchase tickets for the next Lottery!

Gallywix’s Lottery lets Heroes grab lottery tickets for the potential to grab huge pots of Gold. Goldilocks can hold an entire Gold Cap’s worth of coin, so the more Heroes that enter, the bigger pot available to win!

Additionally, it’s not JUST GOLD available to win: Goldilocks will sometimes add in exclusive cosmetic items to the winner’s pot that aren’t available anywhere but the Lottery! This means if you see a rare item up for grabs, you can grab it to be one of only a handful of Heroes to show it off.

The larger goal of the Lottery is to help reduce inflation on Ascension, allowing Heroes a chance to benefit without straight up removing gold from the economy. This ensures that prices stay reasonable for all Heroes, especially those just starting the game.

Oh, also Auction House cuts have been increased to 7%, with proceeds going directly to the cartel. We’ve been assured that all proceeds will benefit the Stormwind Orphanage, and have complete faith in our goblin friends.
