In the distant reaches of the Twisting Nether, alone and isolated drifting through the stars, lies a small shard of corrupted earth known as Apocalypse. This spit of land, once a piece of Argus, teems with untamed demons driven mad from the fel energies rippling through the asteroid. From this corrupted rock, the Felforged make their assaults on Azeroth.
It is to this demonic domain that you now must travel: Escape from Apocalypse releases TOMORROW!
Enter as the hunter until you become the hunted!
Enter the Apocalypse as a hunter. Slay demonic forces, discover chests, and defeat other heroes to acquire epic treasure! But be warned, the longer you stay in the Apocalypse, the weaker you become: Twisted Fate infects your body, and it won’t be long until you become the prey. Find a Fel-Infused portal to return to Azeroth and escape with your spoils!
Escape from Apocalypse is a brand new event starting tomorrow, Friday September 23rd @ 20:00 server time. It marks the beginning of End-Game Felforged content. Everyone can participate to earn incredible PvP rewards, and it’s up to you to decide how much you risk as you take the fight to the Twisting Nether!
Here’s how it works:
– Max Level Heroes can now travel to the Apocalypse, the dreaded bastion of the Felforged
- Both Felforged and Normal Heroes can enter
- 1v1 Honorable Combat
– Enter the Apocalypse: a twisted zone filled with Fel Demons, Felforged Chests, and other Heroes
- Start as the hunter and become the hunted: slay rare creatures, loot chests, and kill Heroes to acquire Heroic PvP gear and other valuable items
– However, the longer you stay, the weaker you become
- Fel Rot accumulates in your body over time
– Find a portal and escape back to Azeroth with your loot!
– Or drop it all for the one who slays you
Escape the Apocalypse
Starting tomorrow, Friday September 23rd @ 20:00 server time, Heroes can traverse the Twisting Nether to arrive at the floating citadel of the Felforged: the Apocalypse. This chaotic shard of earth is home to twisted, demonic monsters, rare creatures, and evil foes. However, this asteroid was once a part of Argus itself: and it still holds wondrous treasures to discover. Whether you’re a Normal or Felforged Hero, you can explore Apocalypse and gain valuable Heroic PvP Gear!
Normal Heroes can acquire this gear by slaying rare monsters found scattered throughout the zone. Meanwhile, Felforged Heroes can loot chests containing gear and other items. This sets the stage for epic 1v1 combat as you explore, find loot, and try to escape!
However:
On Apocalypse, the very air you breathe is toxic. As fel magic accumulates in your body, you’ll gain a terrible debuff: Fel Rot. The longer you remain on Apocalypse, the weaker and more exhausted you become–eventually, you will succumb to stronger foes.
Your only chance at escape is a Fel-infused Gateways: portals back to Azeroth that the Felforged use to invade. These are your only way home, and they open spontaneously throughout the zone. Hunt Monsters and other Adventures, Grab loot, discover a Fel-Infused Gateway, and return to Azeroth before the corruption–or another Hero–claims you.
Both Normal and Felforged Heroes can journey to Apocalypse to acquire Heroic PvP Gear, both from killing Rare Monsters, and from killing each other. Additionally, Normal Heroes can acquire Purified Souls, while Felforged Heroes can open Demonic Caches to acquire high risk consumables and additional PvP gear.
Escape from Apocalypse is the beginning of development for new end-game Felforged content. Keep an eye open as we charge head first into the Twisting Nether.
